Law v. Love – Courts of Justice, 1967
avatar

From:  Cashel, tales of the emigres

If you subject Love to the common law-No matter what the judgment you intend

You make uncommon Love a common whore an outcome which no lawyer ought defend.

If Law declares a crime where Love presides Love’s dignity‘s not lost in legal shame

Shame’s slander with the libellous Law resides If honest Love dares not to speak its name.

Abusing competence of Statute Law (Subjecting Love to false imprisonment)

Is one injustice Justice should abhor; an Act, from which, just judges ought dissent.

Blind justice may try whatever you have done but Love will tell you what is right or wrong.
